Green procurement collaboration stressed

Multi-sector collaboration is essential to successfully carry out green public procurement (GPP) in Thailand, experts on sustainability told a forum held by C asean as part of Asean Week 2024 under the theme “Shaping the Future of Sustainable Asean”.

Chuttree Phurat, director of the Green Label and Environmental Label program at the Thailand Environment Institute, said Thailand has approved a national action plan for green public procurement from 2022-27 and started putting it into practice. Continued …

SIG introduces ‘ReNew Pallets’ made from recycled carton packaging waste

SIG has taken a step toward reducing waste by successfully developing pallets for use in industrial transportation made from pre-consumer aseptic carton packaging waste mixed with virgin plastics.

South Korean auto maker Hyundai Motor Co. will invest 1 billion baht (US$28 million) to set up a facility to assemble electric vehicles (EVs) and batteries in Thailand, the country’s Board of Investment (BOI) said on Wednesday.
