World Environment Day is tomorrow

World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5 to put a spotlight on environmental challenges of our time. In 2024, the World Environment Day “Reviving lands for a brighter future” focuses on land restoration, stopping desertification and building drought resilience, and it is hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Asia and the Pacific is exceptionally rich in biodiversity, with rich land and water ecosystems. Land-use changes and land degradation caused by factors such as extensive agriculture, deforestation and unmanaged urbanization and sprawl, are reducing the biodiversity of many land ecosystems. 75,000 electric vehicles registered in Thailand in 2023

Thailand’s total registration of electric vehicles (EVs) in 2023 crossed 75,000 vehicles, increasing 690% compared with EV registration in the previous year, ttb analytics, a research center of TMBThanachart Bank, reported on Saturday.

The center said that EV registration in 2023 was accountable for 11.6% of total registration of passenger cars on Thai streets. This ratio has expanded to 18.4% in the first quarter of 2024, signifying the continued growth of consumer adoption for electric automobiles. Continued … 

Great Wall Motors vows commitment to Thailand despite Europe downturn

Great Wall Motors has reaffirmed its investment commitments in Thailand despite the closure of its main office in Europe and staff layoffs there.

NETA has officially begun deliveries of the NETA V-II, a 100% electric city car, to Thai customers. The NETA V-II is produced at NETA’s Thai manufacturing facility by Thai workers, embodying the concept of “SMART & PLAY”.

The NETA V-II is produced at NETA’s new electric vehicle assembly plant in Bangchan Industrial Estate, a collaboration between NETA and Bangchan General Assembly Co.
